Strange Symptoms

Hello Everyone,

I am not sure what to do about the strange symptoms that I have been having lately. It's just now starting to get hot and stay hot and it seems every year that I get the same symptoms around this time of year. My hands and feet hae started to swell. I had to take off my rings and put them on a chain (I never usually take off my rings). In addition to that I am so tired and dizzy or lightheaded. Normally I would take off and go to the dr but I am out of time off and my boss is off on disability for a few months (just started yesterday) and do I really do not have the opportunity to do that. I am not sure what to do at this point in time. For the past 3 weeks through this past weekend I was having migraine headaches everyday too. They put me on meds for that... but then this weekend I had a bout of the stomach flu and was in bed for a couple days so stopped taking most of my usual meds (for allergies, asthma, migraines, etc). I haven't really had any problems with the migraines since then but am concerned about the swelling of my hands and feet (they feel hot all night long too) and being so tired (probably because I am waking up all night long because my feet are too hot ... smile).

Please let me know what you think. I am drinking enough liquid every day but still am not sure what else I can do. I feel like I have a lot of water weight right now whereas I usually don't have much at all.

Thanks!

Hello, V. K--

Have you heard of toxin overload? Anderson Cooper and Dr. Gupta did a series about toxins in CNN's Planet in Peril. Natural Cellular Defense is a 100% natural, safe, and science-based supplement that carries the FDA's GRAS (generally recognized as safe) designation. My family, our cat, and I use it daily for detoxification. It can be purchased directly from the company through www.mywaiora.com/502042. I hope you get this response to your inquiry and bring yourself back to health.

Is there a chance you might need to change your allergy meds? I know there were some I was taking and then they stopped working for me. I have bad allergies and for which I haven't been taking anything because I'm breastfeeding, acupuncture is helping but I retain water too. I couldn't figure out why I always felt fat at the beginning of summer, I noticed it in my hands and calves the most, but then around mid summer I start to feel better and my swelling goes down. Being tired and lightheaded/dizzy could be allergies too. Just a thought, maybe try a different one before you head to doctor.

Hi V.,

I'm going to echo the ladies here and say you have got to get to the Dr. Your body is sending you a message, you should listen! Oh, and don't feel guilty about taking care of yourself because your boss is out on disability. The office (or whatever) will manage without you for an hour or two. I always had to be reminded that while things wouldn't go as smoothly as they did when I was there, nobody ever died because I took time off. True...

xoxo,
T.

I think you really need a doctor's opinion! That said, you might try eliminating things from your diet which might cause allergies. Since you said it happened the same time last year, you might see if it is seasonal fruit or something growing near your house that is now in bloom... good luck!! I hope you get some relief and rest soon.

I agree about seeing a doctor (and write it all down, so you don't forget anything), but if you are far enough in the country to make doctor's visits inconvenient, or if you have to wait for your appointment--there are websites where you can enter your symptoms and it asks you questions and you can get some possibilities for what might cause the symptoms.
But that is just to put your mind at rest temporarily, and you should consult a doctor, because your swelling is unusual and I'm sure very uncomfortable. Make sure you tell the doctor everything going on with you, in case it is somehow related to one of your other problems.

I think you should make time to see your doctor ASAP. I am certainly no doctor myself, but if you are light headed and your hands and feet are swelling, that is something you should seek medical attention for. Hopefully it's nothing, but you need to be sure. Why take a chance?

My opinion, you need to take the time off to see a doctor. What's worse, Missing an hour or two of work now, or possibly much more later? If it turns out you have a condition that could have been treated early on, waiting could make it take longer to get well again. I'm not a doctor, I have no medical advice, but if you think you need to see a doctor, then you do. -H
