Straight Talk Cellphone from Walmart

I had straight talk for a few months. I had the 'LG 620G '. The coverage is pretty good for straight talk. Never had any dropped calls. What I did notice was that the volume on the phone wasn't very loud, even at it's highest. I'd always have to ask whoever I was talking to, to repeat themselves A LOT. No matter if I was talking regularly with the phone to my ear or with the speaker on. I didn't like that. It also had the option in the phone to add your minutes but it never worked. I always had to call or add on the card online. Also the camera wasn't too bad.

Overall I'd say it's a good phone plan. It's cheap, gives you 1000 minutes for talking and 500 in texts & 500 out texts.

I'm not sure about the other models of phones.
I finally got sprint back. Although it's not prepaid, I love it. Love my unlimited texting & data. LOL.

If you decide to get straight talk, the phones are a lot cheaper in the stores than online. But they usually only carry a select few.

pros are the amount of minutes you get and texting also for the great price

cons are horrible internet browsing capability, free 411 is crappy with lots of advertising, and phones are s set price with only 4 options.

Pros: no daily fees, no connection fees, cheap plan, get reception in most areas that has cell phone coverate.

Cons: I like to talk alot so it wasn't enough minutes for me and I would have to watch how long I talked with people. It you have a home phone with unlimited minutes and long distance it is perfect for using when I am out and about..

I don't know about the straight talk, but I have had Virgin Mobile pay as you go for about 3-4 years now. They have plans like $30 a month for like 500 minutes and 200 texts or something like that, sorry I can't remember the exact plan details. You can look on their website though. They have several different plans, as well as pay by the minute. They also have a bunch of different phones to chose from. I got the cheap $20 one and it has worked fine for me. My husband had the $10 one but it didn't hold a charge for very long. The only thing I would have a complaint about is that I lose calls all the time when I am near mountains. I don't know if that is normal for a plan with Verizon or one of the bigger companies, but it is annoying somtimes. Well worth the money though, and no deposit or credit approval needed.

I just bought a verizon pre paid cell phone for the kids. It's very useful for when the kids are at the skate park etc- without me. I choose the unlimited plan and gave it to me kids when they went to visit their birth dad who lives in a different state. It seems that roaming charges are high...
