I'm so sorry you are going through such misery. The stomach virus is no fun at all. You are fortunate that the kids can go to the grandparents. If it's the same strain that's going around here, then you should be feeling better very quickly. My kids have been going thru the barfing disease these past few days. If you can stomach anything then the "BRAT" diet helps: Bananas, Rice, Apples, Toast. My kids have been able to nibble on toast, applesauce, and bland rice congee. Ginger will ease your tummies: real ginger ale, tea or candy. Sipping gatorade or pedialyte. Stay home and don't forget to wipe down all of your doorknobs and handles with disinfecting wipes! Hope you are feeling better soon.

Ginger tea. Cut up little chunks of ginger and pour boiling water over it. I had this flu bug several weeks ago, and the tea helped. (Also added a little honey.)

Make sure you sip liquids constantly. I find "flat" Coke helps me a lot (leave the top off or add a little sugar & stir a lot to get rid of most of the gas). I also nibble on dry crackers. "BRAT" diet (as mentioned by Wendy S) also works. Chamomile tea is also very good - both for upset tummies and to help you keep calm! :) Try & rest as much as possible too. Don't worry too much if you can't eat anything ... as long as you are able to keep liquids down. I hope you both feel better soon!
