Hi mamas- I am still in search of a pediatrician who is well-versed in alternative and wholistic health care for my baby. The doctors I've met so far seem to be very "western" in their approaches- which is fine but I really want to find someone who can discuss other options with me (homeopathy, herbs, etc). Any ideas? I do see a naturopath in the area who I really like, but it's too expensive on an ongoing basis. If you have any suggestions for good family doctors, I'd like to find someone for me and my husband as well...

My kids see jerry feinland he's a dr with Valley Medical Group in Easthamtpon. He frequently recommends alternative options and just went to a holistic health conference for a week. i don't know if he would tell you which homeopathic treatments to take (i use someone else for that) but he def. prefers a non-western approach. his number is ###-###-####.

I would check out Dr. Sam Goldstein in Amherst. He is a great family doctor and he is very well versed in alternative therapies, does not push vaccines, and has been practicing medicine in the area for over 20 years.
we see dr. lynn zashin at valley medical center in florence. i've been with her for about 20 years ~ she is our primary, but it also a pediatrician. we love her ~ she's very bright and really saved us during my son's jaundice problem at birth. he's now a healthy 2 1/2 year old.
i think the doctor's name is actually dr. sam gladstone.
