When did you need someone to start? I am a stay at home mom, for now, and I could help you out til you found someone permanent. I've been helping out my friend for the last few months with her 2 boys but I think tomorrow is the last day she will need me. I will ask her when she gets home today. I have a nanny three days a week who I've used since my daughter was 4 weeks old. (And my friends used her for three years before they had to move). She also works on Thursdays for another family, but I think she wouldn't mind working four days for you in addition to the other family.

I may be switching work schedules and decide to let her go because I won't be able to pay her for all her time. I would feel better about it, however, if I could try to find her another job. This is all tentative, but if you are still looking, she charges $100 a day. She lives in Skokie and would probably travel a short distance to work.

I would suggest you check the northsideparents.org website. You have to be a member to join ($40) but they have a very extensive list of nannies available on their discussion board and they are most often listed there by other families that want to find a job for a nanny they can no longer use. You can also post a request there. Good luck!
