I wanted to start my 2 1/2 year old in gymnastics. I was looking at Stick It Gymnastics. Has anyone had any experience there or with gymnastics at age two?

What can I do next?

I have no experience with it, but just wanted to say that a knew someone who had their daughter in gymnastics for a year, and she despised it...but ended up loving dance class! I think that at that age, they would be doing more of tumbling type of things, wouldn't they? Just wanted to respond, since you are in Dover, that if you are looking to get your little one into some fun things, look into the local libraries...they have lots of free fun stuff going on for kids, especially the Kent one (that I still have to try). I have a 1st grader, and was trying to find something for my 3 year old to do so she doesn't feel left out of all the fun, and the libraries are filling our time nicely! Just a suggestion if you were in the same shoes...

We recently had our 4 y/o son go through their 4 week program through Kent County Parks and Recs. The owners were very nice and the facility was amazing, but in our case the class sizes were too large and our son didn't really get to do or learn anything. He stood around a LOT waiting his turn. He would have been better off just going to the playground for 4 Saturdays. However, I attribute all of those issues to the fact that it was an inexpensive 4 week program and they had more participants than they really could handle. They had a Parents and Tots class at the same time as the 4 y/o class, and they did lots of stuff with the little ones, since the parents were there participating as well. I would sign up for the fewest amount of classes possible, to see if you like it and your daughter likes it, but I wouldn't recommend their Kent County Parks and Recs program.

Hi,
I live in Felton and take my girls to Gold Medal in Symrna. The parent tot class has no more than 8 students but usually 4-6. We have gone Tues or Wed mornings for the last 2 years and the girls love it. I have a 4 1/2 and 2 1/2. It is not flashy or new but they have all the equipment needed and do learn. They do allow a trail class to see if you like it.
