I don't have either, but I do use a Eureka steam mop that I love. It's very, very easy to use. It works well and it was affordable. I purchased mine for $67 no tax & free shipping at: http://www.amazon.com/Eureka-313A-Enviro-Hard-Surface-Ste...

I highly recommend it. However, if you have your heart set on either the Shark or Bissell then I recommend going to Amazon.com and reading the reviews for both so you can compare the pro's and cons.

Regardless of which model you choose I promise you will be happy with the steam cleaning results. It's so much easier than mopping and so nice not to need to use chemicals. I really wish I had discovered steam mops when my son was learning to crawl - would have really preferred that to regular mopping with the dirty water & chemicals! Good luck! :)

I don't have those, but I bought a Wagner steamer that does multiple things. I've by far gotten my money's worth from it. Especially with kids and animals (sadly no more animals) and a house with wallpaper in every room. I got it at Lowe's for $100. It steam mops all types of floors very well and I can use an old hand towel if the 'scrubber' that came with it is dirty. It does the wallpaper steam-off. It has attachments for steaming apholstry (sp?). And it has attachments for steaming curtains and fixtures or grout. LOVE my Wagner steamer!!!!!

I got a shark at Costco and LOVE it. I don't hink, however, that you're supposed to use the steam mops on hardwood floors- the directions included warnings. I use it on my kichen floor and slate living room floor - it's wonderful - truly. No more cleaning solutions - and having to rinse - and it really does work. I could go on and on. It's one of the few home products that really is wonderful. The Costco model has a few different head sizes which is nice so it ends up being a better value but a little more $ than at Target. Good Luck!

I have the Shark and love it......as long as your wood floors are sealed there shouldn't be a problem. I've used it for over a year on my laminate floors with no problems. (I'll never have laminate floors again....hate them!!) I did buy the deluxe version of the Shark because of the 2 extra pads and the longer cord......... really worth the extra $20!! Also make sure you use distilled water with them otherwise you might see some streaking. What I do think is funny is that my husband doesn't think I do the floors because he can't smell any cleaning solution!!!! Men!!! :)

I have the bissel and I love it and wouldn't give it back at all. My SIL has a shark and she loves it too, and my sister bought hers at Aldi's and she loves that. A couple of tips that I learned from this list is always use distilled water and when you wash the pad that comes with it, don't dry it. I was drying the pad in the dryer and I had streaks on my floor, since I starting letting it air dry no more streaks. Plus steam with the grain of the floor. I love that I don't use chemicals to clean the floors, we have laminate and cermamic, and it clean better than if I did it the "old" way.

I have mostly wood floors and my Shark works pretty well. So far, no issues and I have had it about 6 months. I'm so glad to be done with products and it's so fun to use. I would eventually like to get the attatchements to clean counters, etc. with it. I have the basic one and would highly encourage anyone to get the Shark® Steam Pocket® Mop. It seems more robust and has some better feautures to it.

I have the shark. Ive used it everyday since my little one started crawling. i must say that im addicted! its amazing!!! super easy to use and takes just a matter of seconds, i used to do my entire house (no carpet just hardwood) and it took about 5 mins tops. I was also able to get paint off our floors with it.
