What's your favorite place to stay on OR near the Disneyland property? We'd like something extra close for sure. Please share your experience =) Are there any special discounts for the hotels?

Thanks!

The Anabella Hotel. It's clean, nice, safe, right on Katella, offers a variety of rooms including mini-suites and sleepers, and a 15 minute walk from the park entrances.

It's also Disney affiliated, so the concierge can help with reservations in the parks.

The added bonus for us is that it's on hotels.com, so we were able to use our earned free rooms the last time we stayed there and stayed a long weekend for less than the cost of one night.

Try Mousesavers.com for ideas on discounts. You may or may not find deals, depending on the time of year you'll be there. We stayed at the Doubletree near Disneyland and walked or took the shuttle that runs along the hotels near the park (depending on our motivation level at the time!). Beautiful hotel and extremely comfortable ... still remember it for the great nights of sleep.

We stayed at the Camelot hotel. It was older and pretty basic, but the location is amazing. The walk into the park is shorter than the walk from some of the hotels "on property." Plus, we could use the money we saved for an extra character meal and upgraded tickets for the shows!! We spent so little time in the room, I was glad we didn't spend a lot. Depends on your priorities and budget, of course. Have a great time!!

look up the mickey mouse town house. It looks awesome and is a rental home walking distance to the resort. After that I would do the Anabella if you wanted to stay off property. I absolutely LOVE the Disneyland hotel but it can be pricy.

I would check on Tripadvisor.com. You will get a LOT more information, reviews, ratings, details, etc. than you will here. Have fun!!!
