I am a stay at home mom, and I have been noticing that my lil man is getting bored just staying home all day. I was wondering what kind of activites the lake oswego area has that could entertain him.

have you been to the Lake Oswego Play Boutique. It is right off of state street... http://www.playboutique.com/ A little spendy, but fun.
The Children's Museum is great! Especially this time of year when you want to get out of the house. Its so much fun!
Winters are tough aren't they!? Here are some options to take your little one and activities you can do:
1. For free, another mom already mentioned the Wash Square indoor playground for little ones near JC Penney. Take lots of hand sanitizer, but it is a nice enclosed and padded play environment
2. My Masterpiece Art Studio (off Hall Blvd. on Nimbus). GREAT art classes and open art studio for painting, clay, etc. You can do a lot of fun stuff indoors there. Cost is very reasonable. www.mymasterpieceartstudio.com
3. My Gym. Great for the little ones (I prefer it to gymboree anyday!) Monthly fees but well worth it esp with active kids. On Nimbus off Scholls Ferry Exit (Across from Wash Sq Mall/other side of fwy)
4. CHildren of the Sea swim school. Absolutely the best kids swim programs around. And warm warm warm on these winter days. Great for active kids. They also have an open swim time for under 3 year olds at least once a week for $5 if you are enrolled in classes. TONS of fun. You pay for class sessions and it comes to $14/class. On Nimbus off Scholls Ferry Exit (Across from Wash Sq Mall/other side of fwy)
5. Papa's Pizza locations have play areas for kids
6. Of course, the library, especially during story times, OMSI's upstairs play area for the little ones, and The Children's Museum
7. A little bit of a drive, but two great places in Beaverton offer open play times for little ones for a fee: Oregon Gymnastics Academy (www.ogagym.net) offers a great indoor play experience on several weekdays from 11-1:30 for a fee ($5 if enrolled, a bit more if not). And, PUMP IT UP JR (www.pumpitupparty.com) in the same complex has $7 pop-in play times which are safe and fun for the little ones with all little-kid size gym stuff, balls and ride-ons. By the way OGA has great programs for the little ones that you may want to check out.
Finally, I got a mailer that The Cat In The Hat is going to be at Pottery Barn Kids at the Wash Square Mall on Saturday the 24th from 10-1pm reading books, etc. It is Free.
Hi, T.--
I know there used to be an indoor play park that met on certain weekday mornings at the West End Building. Someone else here might know more or you could always call or drop by there.
Another option, story times at the Lake Oswego Library are great for this age. If you need another place to just hang out, you might try the indoor play area at Washington Square Mall or, if the weather is nice, at any of the local parks or Bridgeport Village play area (outdoors). The Lake O Parks and Rec has some other children's listings for fun at this age and you can always try the Play Boutique downtown, too.
Good luck!
