I live in Wisconsin. Let me know where you will be and what your interests are I'd be happy to offer some info. I live about 30 miles south of Green Bay and about 100 miles north of Milwaukee. There's a lot to do here.
Hello Moms,
Ther's a very good chance my husband will be stationed in Wisconsin(not sure of the city). If there's any one who's familiar with the State please let me know what you like and dislike. I just wanted general information about the State. Thank you in advance. Have a wonderful day.

My husband is in Air National Guard out of Milwaukee. Wisconsin is a great state. Has lots to do. Zoos, many beautiful state parks, many lakes, and 3 out of the 4 seasons are beautiful!!! We are from Wi, born and raised, so I think it would be personally weird to not have winter. It is a beautiful season, but can be very cold and very messy! It really is a gorgeous state. I'm sure you will make the best of wherever you get stationed.
Obviously really depends on where you end up. I was born and raised in northern WI, I really enjoy it here. The weather is nice for the most part. Once you find out where you'll be you should post and maybe I can tell you a bit more about the area.
I'm in Racine. Half an hour from Milwaukee and about 90 minutes from Chicago. Lots to do depending on what your interests are.
My husband's family is from Wisconsin and I've only been there once. But my FAVORITE thing about Wisconsin is KOPP'S frozen custard/soft serve ice cream. I know this isn't really the kind of answer you're looking for but really OMG its really that good!
i live in south eastern wisconsin. and i love it. we are about a 1/2 hour from milwaukee and 1 1/2 hours from madison. wisconsin has tons to offer and lots of history!!! let me know where you are going to be!!
We live in Madison. I've been here for about 15 years. It is a very family-friendly city. Nice new children's museum, performing arts center, farmer's market around the capitol square in the summer, great biking trails and lakes. Lots to offer! Also 1 1/2 hours from Milwaukee and 2 1/2 hours from Chicago. Which make nice day trips.
Wisconsin is a state that offers a lot of outdoor activity. In the warmer months...beautiful lakes, biking/hiking trails, nice golf courses. Winters here are cold, but people here enjoy it by getting out to ski, sled and ice skate.
