M. my doctor recommended 3 days but I did 4 because my girls ate 1/2 a jar at each feeding so I got 2 jars of each and changed every 4 days.
How many days did everyone wait between starting different solids? I can't remember what the doctor recommends. I'm thinking it was four days or a week?

Hi M.,
We waited 2-3 days inbetween just to make sure there was no allergy. As our son got older (he's now 17 months) we've shortened that time and just keep an eye him on the day he starts anything new. Good luck!!
It has to be no less then 3 days of one food.
I think it's generally 3 days. Though my ped (same one we've had since my first was born) has been funny with my third. She was basically amazed that we held off until 6 months like we had with the first 2 - said she was surprised she wasn't eating hot dogs yet - basically saying that she'd be copying the big kids sooner and be "advanced" in some areas. She pretty much didn't seem to think it was a big deal to offer foods slowly for allergies or anything. We still followed the 3 day rule and we're vegetarian so she's not getting hotdogs anytime soon!
I remember it being 3-4 days.
Hi M.,
My doctor always said to wait at least 3-5 days before introducing new foods to see if there is an allergic reaction. I have never had a problem.
Hi M.
I just went through the solids introductions with my daughter a few months ago. I did 3 days for each. One word of advice though, do bananas LAST. They are tough on little tummies and it helps to be able to feed other foods that you know will help move digestion along. You don't even have to do the bananas (or any other food)for 3 days STRAIGHT as long as you don't give anything else new until baby has had them as the new item for 3 or 4 days and you know there isn't any allergy! Happy Feeding.
My doctor said 3-4 days.
I do 3-4 days each. Thats what my ped told me, also-
