Stains on Bathroom Floor

I have this in our rental property. It's caused by the rubber on the back of the mats, it reacts with the linoleum. Since it's a chemical reaction it is near impossible to get rid of...I tried EVERYTHING you can think of. The only thing that made any dent in it at all was scrubbing it with baking soda and lemon juice. You make a paste and then scrub it in to the floor with a stiff brush and then rinse with water. For me it didn't remove the stain completely, but it did lighten it considerably. You'll need new rugs that do not have a rubber back.

Have you tried the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser? If not, try that. I bet it would work. Those will clean up anything.
I have never tried it on that exact stain before but have had a lot of luck with it removing other types of set in stains. You can find them in your grocery store in the cleaning section. Good Luck.

This coming from a caretaker of apartments, no they are permanent. You might be able to use baking soda to lighten it, but the only way to get rid of it, is to replace the floor. To keep from getting this in the future, pick up the rugs once a week and clean under them.

Unfortuntely the stains on your lineoleum are permanent. I too learned the hard way that the backing on some rugs will cause a chemical reaction between them and linoleum or carpet. I had a rug in my bathroom do the same thing on the carpet and the advice from a floor specialist was to eiher leave a rug there or get new carpet.

vinagar and baking soda ( it foams so either do it while baby is sleeping or put him in high chair) It will not hurthim just looks so cool he may get in the way. You could also try vinagar and salt.
