My 2 1/2 yr old just started making her s's go on forever and repeating sh at the end of sh words. Example: I eat gold fish sh sh sh. I want gummy bearsssssssss.
What is this and do you think its bad? Its not quite stuttering but seems like deffinately something going on in her brain.
okay thanks mamas!

It's probably fine. You should record it - it sounds really cute! It's really fun when they start trying to use big words. My son had an "actually" fixation for a while. And he would say "decides," instead of "besides" when making a point. I didn't tell him b/c it was so cute - but of course he outgrew it.
nothing wrong with brain. prolly just likes the sound of it or how it feels. one of my daughters would not stop saying the word hippopotamus, over and over and . . .
Little ones do all sorts of strange things. They just like to try new sounds
and virtually anything new. I think it will pass.
It sounds to me like she is totally experimenting with different sounds her mouth and voice make.
Totally normal.
Sounds like a quirky little two year old behavior :) My son does silly things like that with his speech!
There are various forms of stuttering, so if she is still doing this or if it returns, contact The Stuttering Foundation at www.stutteringhelp.org
It's just a phase.
She is figuring out how to make the sounds.
It's all in the learning process.
Yeah, it's okay. I agree with the others. She just enjoys making the sound and she's realizing how often she hears it.
Normal.
they don't have total mouth/sound coordination yet.
My child did this for about 2 weeks then it passed. I was briefly worried she might be stuttering, but it passed as quickly as it strarted. I think this is totally normal.
