Squirrel Trouble

We came home yesterday to find 2 holes in our outdoor cushions. It looks as though a small amount of the filling is missing. I suspect a squirrel did this to get the fluffy filling for its nest. Anyone had this problem and what did you do? Putting them up every time we come in is not feasible. There are lots of cushions and about 25 ties to keep them in place. Will the squirrels leave the cushions alone in warmer spring weather? Anyone have any ideas how to repair the jagged tears? The cushions were quite expensive so I'd rather not replace. Thanks!!

What can I do next?

Granular coyote urine at feed stores scares them away but you do have to sprinkle it around fairly often.

We live in a wooded are with lots of squirrels and other wildlife.

We do put our cushions away after each use...

We can't grow veggies in a garden or in pots because the squirrels and critters get to everything first. BUT... I wouldn't trade my lot for another one at any time.

Do you have seamstress or tailer you use? THey might be able to make repairs.

You can always try patio furniture covers. It will make it harder for them to get to the stuffing.
