It is time for an upgrade on my phone and I just wanted to get some feedback from anyone who has Sprint. I am looking at the Samsung Tranform or the LG Optimus S. Any thoughts and options on both/either phone would be greatly appreciated. I need to have it figured out by tomorrow to get the current specials. Thanks for your help mamas!

I have checked both of these out. The Transform seems to be a faster speed--800 something processor as opposed to the Optimus S which is only 600 something processor. The Transform also lets you listen to FM radio without headphones. You can go online and compare the features exactly. I think my son will be getting the Transform as he has a really slow phone right now. www.letstalk.com/android-cell-phones. This is the site that lets you compare the phones side by side. One big thing is that the Transform has a slide-out keyboard and the Optimus S doesn't. Therefore the Optimus S is smaller. After you check out thie website, go to the store and try both phones. It works better if you can go where they have the real phone instead of just a dummy. That way you can tell how the keyboard will work for you. Good Luck!

I have the LG Optimus and really love it! :) - this is my first touch screen phone, so I have a lot to learn. It took me a few days to master the touch and slide aspect, but now it is 2nd nature. The typing was difficult at first because it is SOOO different on a touch screen, but the swype feature is great once you get used to it!

Downloading apps is fun. If you download Wordfeud, play me - my screen name is redrobynyum

Late response- sorry! My husband got the Transform for me and I love, love, love it. It does everything! I'm a bit of a technology dinasaur, so I had a learning curve, but it's really easy to use.

I have my calendar in it, the contacts are so easy to add and I love the slide out qwerty keyboard. I'm a textin' fool.

Not that it's that important, but the camera actually takes really good pictures and it's super easy to send them.

I also recommend that you get a cover for it. It's a heavier phone (my husband has a blackberry) and once I got a rubberized cover for it, I felt safer, like it wasn't going to slide out of my hands.

Hope this helps- have fun with your new phone!

I just got the Samsung Intercept at Sprint. I also looked at the LG Optimus S but found the touch screen really hard to type on so I opted for the phone that had a keyboard as well. I am slowly learning to type on the touch screen but it would have been very frustrating during the learning process if that was my only option.
