It seems like my son has the same spring allergies I do. However since he is only 13 months old I know that you arn't really supposed to medicate them. Is there anything eles I can do. I am going to try some vicks vapor rub to see if that helps with the congestion and I am going to try a humidifier. Any other options?

What can I do next?

If he is really stuffed up try putting him in the bathroom with the hot shower running. The steam can help unplug his nose.

Since you say you have allergies too you may already be doing this...but if not try
hepa filters in the main furnace/air conditioning unit, allergen traps (most hardware stores carry it) for your vents througout your house, room hepa filters, hepa vacume cleaner, allergen reducing bedding, dust and vacume daily, wash bedding regularly, drink warm liquids to soothe itchiness and runny nose and spend as little time as possible outside on windy dry days, or days when your particular triggers are active in the atmosphere. Air conditioned settings are much better than being in a house or car with open windows. Warm/damp washcloth compress or a warm mineral facial compress (get at pharmacy) placed on sinus points for short periods of time is soothing too.

Have you ever considered natural products without chemicals like bleach and other harmful ingredients? That could be the cause of many of your son's and your allergies!

I have a few moms that have really little ones and they use our Provex Plus for their little ones.

It is a natural anti-histimine. They break open the capsule and give the child 1 for every 25 pounds body weight.

They say it works awesome! That and we do have a Sol-U-Mel that if you put 2 capfuls in a cool mist vaporizor it will help their breathing at night and keep them from getting sick.

This will give you more ideas of what might cause allergies and some ideas to help. I strongly encourage the Provex line.
Many moms are having lots of success with this.

Dear A.,
I have personally suffered from environmental allergies all my life and was told repeatedly to just stay away from whatever I was allergic to. Well, I tested allergic to everything! I went to an allergist in my teens and that helped some, but what really made a huge difference was seeing a Naturopathic Doctor. He assessed my symptoms, causes etc and put me on ambrosia and a variety of other remedies for a limited time. Many remedies take 2- 3 months. At age 43, I finally have very few symptoms and better management for them. Try looking into a naturopathic or homeopathic center. Treatments tend to be very non invasive and look toward balancing the entire system. They can treat all ages too.
Good luck to you!
