So this month i never really started my period. i've had a light brown discharge here and there for about 2 weeks now and in between there was light light light red spotting but really almost nothing before it mixed and turned back into brown spotting. i dont know what to think.. just this past august i had 2 positive pregnancy tests but then 2 negatives... any ideas or advice?!

What can I do next?

My period is not regular at all, I also get the brown discharge, but I am not worried about getting pregnant, my husband has had a vasectomy.
I would call and make an appointment for your gynecologist and see what he/she says.

Sounds like a miscarriage. Check with your Dr because you may need a dnc.

After those pregnancy tests -- I assume you had normal periods the other months?

If the negatives were after the positives you could have had a pregnancy that didn't hold. I would go make an apt with your OB and have them do a blood test to check your hormone levels. Sometimes they call it a "chemical pregnancy" but its essentially a pregnancy that didn't stick right from the start. Your hormones start to rise to prepare for building up the uterine wall, but then when the egg doesn't stick the hormones go back down. Tests react to the level of HcG in a womans blood. It's a hormone that is only naturally present during pregnancy, (fad diets and a few rare medicines aside.)

Either way, I would go talk to my OB if I were you. Just to make sure all is well. Talk to him/her about a possible lost pregnancy and get an exam. If you're trying to get pregnant you should make sure everything is in order before you continue to try.

Good luck!
