Hello Great Moms!
I am having a sports theme party for my son who is turning 6 years old. we are having it at a local park with plenty of open space. I want to play a few games at the party. Do you have any good ideas for games (sport ones) that you have done or seen done at a birthday party. Or just any good sport ideas in general for birthday parties? All ideas welcome!!
Thank you so much for helping!!!

I love the game where you have a balloon on a string about 3 ft long and tie it to the ankle of each child. Then they all chase each other and try and pop the others balloon. Last one with a balloon wins. Sorry, not so much a sports game, but fun.

Maybe an obstacle course. where there are several things you do in one trip.

I was just going to do this.. I was thinking about setting up stations.. 1) tee ball, 2) basket ball shoot out 3) soccer shoot out 4) hockey shoot out.. everyone gets three trys and at the end everyone would get a gold medal and a $2 gift certificate for baskin robbins. You can have the guest come in their favorite team jeresy of any sport. Just some ideas I was throwing around.. have fun.

You'll get tons of ideas if you google it. My son had a sports party this summer. we made the invited look like tickets and had a baseball pinata. We did relay races, like kick the soccer ball around the cones, then throw a foot ball, then walk on a balance beam, crawl through a mesh tunnel, we didn't have a baseket ball but you could use that too. That was pretty good.
I tried playing a tossing game where we stood in a circle and tossed a soft baseball across the circle and everyone introduced themselves. I think my group was to small to make that work well. only 7 kids.

good luck and have fun.
