Mama's I came across a web site for my 3rd grader that I would like to share. Has anyone tried spellingcity.com?
Do you have other cool web sites to share for other subjects like history and science? Please do tell.....

I love Spelling City. Last year my 4th grader hated writing out the words for practice. She loved spelling city, and it brought her grade from over half the words wrong to getting A's!

Spellingcity.com was part of my son's homework last year.
He also loves IKnowThat.com but only parts of the site are free, the rest is like $6/month. Every time you pick something it pulls up an ad, but you just have to click on Continue to get to the activity. The parts that are free include "optics workshop" where you pretend to shine a light through a lens, "widgets" where you build a funny path for marbles, and a few math and science worksheets.
