My question is has anyone used the spa: Face and Body in Frisco and what did you think of it?

My second question is has anyone received a body wrap. There is a spa in McKinney that claims 4 to 10 inches off after the wrap. That sounds a little crazy to me, but was wondering what everyones expereince was with wraps and do you really notice a big toning difference?

Thank you MaMas!

I have experienced the body wrap (I went to the Dallas location) and I have also been to the Face and Body Spa for a facial.

In my opinion the Body Wrap was a joke. My mother and I went together and left there extremely disappointed, we felt as if we had just flushed quite a bit of money down the drain. They wrap you in something similar to ace bandages from head to toe (you're only wearing a bra and underwear)then they pour mineral water all over your bandages. On top of the bandages they put plastic on you (if I remember correctly). Then you go and do light cardio for an hour. After your workout they take your bandages off and they measure your again. They add up everything you lose from your overall body and then tell you how many inches you lost. My mother and I both felt the same afterwards and our clothes felt the same. I would never recommend it to anyone unless your just dying to experience it for yourself.

Face and Body Spa is okay. The ambiance is not the best(I like the Cresent in Dallas) but it's not bad. I did like the lady who did my facial. I would go back.

Good luck!

Hi S.,
I have not used that spa so I can't help there, but I did get my first seaweed wrap a few weeks ago...not impressed. It was relaxing, but I honestly would not spend the money on it again...not sure about the losing inches...the lady told me to lose inches they wrap you in like a plastic type wrap and you somehow work out...??? Just the normal wraps do not make you lose inches...at least how she explained it.

I had a body wrap last year and honestly I saw very little differnce. I felt like it was a waste of money...for me. Everyone is different.

I tried a wrap years ago and don't remember any significant difference from it. If it worked, it would only be temporary water weight anyway. I am looking into Lipolite, which is a new alternative to liposuction. There was an advertisement in Women's Day Magazine, which I would be happy to email to you. K.
