Maybe call and ask if they accept tips?
I purchased a Groupon for Photgenesis Rejuvenation, In other words, lazer treatment to lighten age spots on face.
Even though it was a spa facility, the medical clinic (with the same name) was next door. I thought of this treatment
like it was a dermatologist procedure. I only paid $90 for a $300 treatment. So, my question: SHOULD I HAVE TIPPED
AND HOW MUCH. It only occurred to me today that I should have. The precious girl that performed the treatment
was an aesthetician.
Maybe call and ask if they accept tips?
You are supposed to tip on the original value. The person performing the service is not providing a lesser service because you paid less, and they deserve to be tipped on the actual amount.
If it had been a dermatologist, then I wouldn't have tipped. For an aesthetician, I would've tipped 20%.
Yes, you should have tipped on the full value. I would have tipped $45.
Yes. And the tip should have been for the service, not the $90 deal... So I would have given a $30 tip. If you feel you should have, then stop in and leave an envelope for her :)
I would tip 15-20 percent at a spa but nothing at a medical clinic. However, I'm not sure if that type of procedure would be a different protocol. Good questions.
Yes, you tip for the actual price of the treatment.
I tip 20% of any service.... Discounted or not. The person providing the service receives the tip. They provided a service = they deserve tip.
I used to work for an ob/gyn that had a medical spa attached. No, tipping there was not expected (depending on the service made the difference on whether an MD or an aesthetician performed the service)...and at ours, I doubt that tipping would even be accepted.
