You're lucky... a lot of women after tubal ligations get a repulsive smelling 'dark globby slime' every single day until menopause. To the degree of needing pantyliners every day. ((That and others -like mood swings or constant crabbiness are *finally* starting to make it into the lexicon of 'side effects' from tubals)). The docs in our office are part of one of the research groups looking into things that the previously male dominated med field simply BLEW OFF, saying that's just how women were / mothers with young children were / there couldn't be side effects since ovaries are still in place - and to be fair, there are NOT noticeable side effects from vasectomies, but men cycle through their hormones every 24hours at a max, some doing it several times a day, and women cycle through once a month... so it's a *much* longer hormonal process.))
Typically, when women start experiencing side effects from their tubals the docs in our group put them on birth control pills to regulate their hormones if it's just physical. For about 1/4th of those affected, however -specifically for those who have found themselves constantly enraged/pms'ing, beta blockers have been found to be very effective.
Note: I am neither a doctor nor a researcher, this is just from school & working in a women's clinic for some time.
