Soreness in Breasts

I have a question that maybe some other mom can answer or at least give me some insight with. Let me start off by saying...I am not nursing...I haven't in over a year and half. About 2 months ago, I felt a lump in my armpit. Litterally my armit, where I shave so I figured it was a ingrown hair. Well it has gotten smaller but it is still there. Then I noticed today that my right breast (it is my right armpit also) is really sore on the nipple. It doesn't look any different just that even the towel after my bath or my daughter climbing on me made it hurt. In the bath it kinda burned. I put some old cream I had on it from back when I was nursing. Since it is Friday, the doctor won't be open till monday. I will be calling monday but I was wondering if any one had any ideas. All it comes up to on Google is Breast cancer...Thanks ahead of time to those who answer...

What can I do next?

You are definitely on the right path...calling your doctor to setup an appt is the best thing right now...do not do too much speculation until he comes up with the results...you could be running yourself ragged for nothing by worrying so much....see your doctor and then take the right steps...you are already doing the right thing...take care and let us know the results, please.

When I was younger (about 20 and before children) I had a very similar pain and it seemed to stem from my nipple, but cause great pain throughout that entire breast. It turned out that I had a bacterial infection in my nipple. They gave me some antibiotics and an OTC body wash that got rid of it in a couple of days. The lump could be a node that was swollen from your body fighting off allergies or any number of things. I bet that when you go in to the doctor he/she will tell you that you are fine and not to worry. Keep us in the loop.

You should never ignore any kind of lump. Usually they turn out to be nothing but always, always check with a doctor. As far as the soreness goes it is probably unrelated but once again please see your doctor and have everything looked at. Good luck.

You're going to want to make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible. You have lymph nodes under your armpit, and it could be a sign of infection, or something worse.

Go get it checked out. Better safe then sorry.

You might want to try Webmd.com and you can enter your specific symptoms. I had a lump in my arm pit last year and it was actually a gland that was inflamed. Nothing to worry about, or it could be serious. I would definatley see the dr, but don't freak out about it! I will keep you in my prayers. God is good, He can heal the serious and the simple.

God bless!!

You have lymph nodes under your arms and your breast tissue also extends that far up. Please don't ignore any lump or soreness. Call your doctor and set up an appointment to visit with him/her.

Get it checked. It may be nothing but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Good luck and many blessings!
