I've had a problem with my son's diaper leaking...we had solved the problem by getting the Huggies overnite diapers....well that was when my son slept 10 hours, now he is sleeping 12 hrs and the huggies don't work...and I have also tried the diaper doubles pads...any suggestions???
He's 7 1/2 months old right now....he gets a bottle after his bath and then goes right to sleep
Same problem and same advice as most everyone else - go up a size at night and keep going up a size until the leaks stop!

We had this same problem from very early on. We tried the huggies overnights and even they didn't work. We tried the huggies nighttime pull-ups and they worked (the 2T size at 2 months!) I know it sounds a little ridiculous for such a young baby, but it was the only thing that worked. And my son is not that big. He has always been in the 95th percentile for height, but the 50th for weight. We still use them and rarely have a problem (he's 20 months now.) The other responses are probably better to try first though because a regular diaper is less expensive than a pull-up, but just in case these don't work it's another idea. Good luck!
Going up a size in diapers always helps us. Also limiting fluid - maybe no drink an extra 30-60 minutes before bed. You don't say how old he is, but if he is in overnights, I assume he doesn't need a bottle anymore to sleep.
I had this problem with my son, so I ended up doing double diapers - one regular size for him on his bum (or the night ones) and than a size up on top, making sure the top of the larger diaper would cover enough the top of the smaller diaper. I think we needed to do this for about 4 or 5 months and then it was fine...
Try going up to the next size diapers. Also, around that age is when we started to "remove" the bottle from bedtime. We started giving my son his final bottle before his bath, so he would learn that he didn't need the bottle in order to go to bed. By allowing that time, it can help with him not wetting so much overnight.

We had a super-soaker too. We solved it two ways. When we went to bed ourselves, we would carefully change her diaper (around midnight) and it started her off fresh. Still, she was a super soaker. We never did night time diapers but what solved it was using a name brand diaper (not the generic) in a size one size larger than she normally wears.
right now she wears a 4, but in bed she wears a 5. It did the trick. :)

We had the same problem for a while - we put cheap cloth diapers inside the disposable ones for an extra layer...and went a size bigger on his diapers at night. Nothing worked great but this did seem to help a bit. Eventually it got better on its own and we also discontinued the nighttime bottle at 1 yr (cut back to a 1/2 bottle of just water, then eventually nothing..) which helped too obv. Hang in there!
My son also sleeps 12 hours at night (he has for a while) and we had a lot of leaks! I use the huggies overnights in a size bigger than he wears during the day. I also use Poise pads (same idea as the doublers, but easier to get my hands on). I found that the way I put the poise pad on made a difference. Straight up and down was no good, but putting it across inside the front of the diaper (in the direction a belt would go) near the top worked much better -- probably because he's a tummy sleeper. Honestly, we still have leaks from time to time (mostly out of the side of the diaper!), but, for the most part, this has really slowed it down to a much more manageable (as in only occassional) level.

First of all you are very lucky to have a 7 1/2 mnth old that sleep 12 hrs.
My sons diapers used to leak too, and we always bought the next size up and it seemed to work. It was a tiny bit big but held more.
Pampers also makes a overnight diaper now too.
I had a similar problem when my son was in diapers. I used Luvs in the next size up from what he was in during the day. No more problems!
I had the same problem with Huggies and changed to Luvs or Pampers and never had the problem again.
I always go up a size in diapers for night time.
I agree with everyone else! You need to go up a size in diapers. Every time diapers would leak that was our cue to move up a size. Also, we found that the generic diapers did not work for him. We swear by the Pampers Swadlers for infants and the Pampers cruisers for when they get a little older. My son just turned 3 in June and we only use the Pampers pull-ups. Pampers are the best! we did the pampers over night diaps in a size larger than my daughters normal size and never had a leak with them.
When my son was about that age, we had the same problem! I think part of the problem is because a boy, all the pee goes in the front of the diaper and then starts to get over saturated. For us, the diapers were beyond saturated, and even one exploded! (A MESS by the way)... My pediatrician suggested buying a larger size diaper, and so we bumped him up one size (just at night time), and that really helped out. You'll find in a few months it won't be so bad... my son was about a year when this finally started subsiding.
