Hap Palmer c.d.'s are so great. You can go to his website and order that way. My favorites are "So BIg" and "Can a Cherry Pie wave goodbye?" Good luck!
Hi out there moms, I live in Germany and just started working for a company that offers an English course in various German kindergartens in the area. I have done the training and finally started working last month and so far, am having a great time. In the middle of next month I have more training for this job to learn new material that we can teach to the kids. But the company is asking that if we have any new song or game ideas, to please bring them in. So, my question to you is do any of you have any great ideas that I can take with me? We do the traditional English songs like Old MacDonald, Wheels on the Bus, Itsy Bitsy Spider and a few others. I'm looking for anything that will be fun and educational for the kids. Thanks so much in advance for any ideas you might have.

"Play" picnic, get the plastic toy fruits and foods and "have" a picnic. Rule is- they can only pass food to each other if they ask "Pass the (English word for the food) please"- goal- get all the scattered food into the basket.
Bingo- make boards that have colored rows with numbers 1- 10 in them. This way when you call out in English "Red 9" or "Blue 2" they are working on both color words and numbers- all very basic Kindergarten skills.
Make flash cards with pictures. Are the kids learning phonetics? If so write the name of the object phonetically in German (English pronunciation) on the back. I don't see why you couldn't turn this into a game of teams so that even a child not good at it will feel okay. Let the whole team discuss and then give their answer, etc....
