When my son turned 5, we had a jungle animal-themed party. Every guest brought a favorite stuffed animal from home and then we made capes for the animals and took pictures with them. Then, while they were playing other games, I hid all the animals. We pretended the animals had wandered off and we had to go exploring to find them again. (Don't worry--no one was traumatized, and it was kind of funny to see how "parental" the kids became over wandering stuffed animals.) When they found their animals, we passed out novelty Band-aids in case any animals had gotten injured when they were lost, and then we had food together with a dish for each animal, too. It was a fun time. The T-shirt making sounds fun, too. Have fun! (There's a great book of party ideas but the title is slipping my mind. It's something like "The Penny. . .(Something) Party Book." I'm sure you could find it on Amazon and it's all about creating fun, simple, affordable, appealing parties at home for your children. I highly recommend it.
