Ever since I had my son 3 yrs ago I have been struggling with the acne and finally earlier this year went to a dermatologist and they perscribed my finacea but our insurance does not cover it so I'm paying $150 a month for it. It works wonders but am wondering if anyone has tried anything that's similiar to this but alot cheaper? Would need a cat B as I am now pregnant with baby boy #2 and plan on breastfeeding.
Thank you!!!

I recommend a holistic health evaluation to get to the internal root cause of the acne. Once you address the internal cause, then the external issue will clear up. As for topical support, essential oils are a good option. It's best to consult with a Certified Aromatherapist who can create an appropriate essential oil blend for your skin type.

Don't know about Finacea. I use the products from www.acne.org and like it enough. IT's not amazing, but it's cheap and if you follow his 'regimen' it will clear up your skin. It's a 3-step process w/ wash, then benz peroxide, then moisturizer. Watch his videos and read on his website if you are interested.

I have been using Oxy Clinical. It has been great! You can buy it at the drug store. $12.99 for the "starter/trial" size of all 3 products or $6-7.99 for the larger individual bottles. I have always had a hard time w/my skin, and this works. Proactiv was too drying for me. I don't know about using during pregnancy/breastfeeding, but you could ask your Dr!

Hi B.,

I agree with B. M. Zap-it works great. The other thing that will help with your acne is an absorbable multivitamin. Most vitamins don't absorb and actually create more problems than they fix but the manufacturer of the Zap-it product also guarantees absorption of the vitamin/mineral complex. Nutrition that is absorbed properly does wonders for the skin.

Let me know if you'd like some info on them.

Regards,

M.
