And usually you only have one sock because one is in the car, or left in the grocery store parking lot.

I work in an infant room at a daycare center. This is a daily battle. If a day doesnt go by where we misplace a sock its a miracle. I have found that the bootie type socks (i know they arent cute) stay on the better. They can be rolled down which seems to help. Also, hanna andersson makes a moccasin type sock or slipper(not sure what they are really called) and a few of our babies have these and those puppies stay on all day! We have yet misplaced one of them. I hope this helps, but I agree I think socks and babies are like oil and water... :)

The only way I was able to keep kids' feet covered was the sleepers/creepers with feet in them. Otherwise they always kicked them off. You may need to go 1 size bigger, just to make sure you're not cramping feet/legs.

Your best bet at this age is to keep him in footed outfits.

They make sock glue. It's popular in Japan (and has been for decades) so that socks stay "just right".

Aside from that, or sewing them onto the bottom of his pants (not very practical)... I have yet to find a method of keeping socks on aside from deciding to choose that particular battle and make it a discipline thing.

I never liked the "newborn" socks that are thicker and fuzzy on the inside. I think they are worthless, and forget about after you wash them...

I found some socks at Kohl's that were like a "crew" style, they did not fold down, and they stayed on better. I have also used socks from Walmart and Target that are a similar style, and liked both of them. They look just like socks you would wear, just mini-sized.

I also did the footed outfits a lot when my son was that small. But now that he is older and I can't keep him wrapped up in blankets all day, I keep socks on him underneath the footed outfits to keep him warmer.

I don't remember the brand at Target, but it's a 3-pack of infant socks, very plush for $5 I think? They stayed on my son every day. I think the brand was "Just One Year" but I can't find them online. Good luck!

I bought mine off of ebay and still use them for my son who is now 14 months.
I also like the moccasin idea from Target. I love those shoes for my son. Super comfy. But I don't like how the leather feels once they get dirty, but since your son is so young that might not be a problem. Robezez are a better quality.

Hanes - they sell them at target.

Old Navy - they stay on pretty well, but not as good as Hanes.

Footed sleepers were what I used. Once it was summer and it was warm my son's feet were too cute to keep covered up.

it's been so long since my kiddos were that age, but, i think maybe a larger sock? or try putting the sock on first, then the pants, arrange it so the cuff of the pants are on top of the sock. see if that will help. or if it's picture time or what not, spray a little bit of hairspray on his leg, then quickly put the sock on, the hairspray acts like a mild glue. just give him a bath that day.

Get the infant shoes called Robeez.... they are soft leather shoes that go on over socks... they are comfy and cute. They are a little pricey, but the knock off brands don't stay on as well! It is hard to find socks that stay on all the time!

I always loved the Children's Place socks.

You could try putting moccasins over the socks. That's what my SIL did. I know Target sells them. They're super cute, and they are definitely not shoes so no worries about confining the feet.
