So, What Are You Doing Tonight?

My husband is DJing an event until after 1 am, so it's just me and the boys. They are 5 1/2 and almost 3, so that does kind of limit what we can do. We'll probably go to the mall in a little bit, but what kinds of things are you doing with your kids tonight?

What can I do next?

My son is staying with my parents til Monday, so you would think I would take advantage of the situation and go out and party. However, I am planning on a movie this evening and then coming home to watch the ball drop on TV. Another sign of me getting older!

Oh you'll have fun with the kiddos! Celebrate the new year early, like 8pm :)

Our babysitter actually pulled through for us... I'm shocked! We have 3 hours to do... I don't even know what yet, but it's going to involve a pair of sky high heels, OH YEAH!! :)

Are youngest two are 3 and 1 so we just stay home. Which I prefer anyways. We got steaks, shrimp, champagne and movies! We'll miss the ball drop, but that's ok. Sleep is more important with kids so little

Several families in the neighborhood are coming over. We provide the soda, juice, party favors and some desserts. Everyone else brings their own adult beverages and snacks to share. The kids play games and the adults do too! It's a lot of fun and everyone walks home.

We don't get crazy, but since all the kids are older, they've been staying up until midnight while an adult or two is sleeping on the couches.

Happy New Year!

I took down all of the Christmas decorations today and cleaned the house from top to bottom, so we're starting the new year with a super-clean house. I love that!

My husband is working until 9:00ish, and we're staying home with our boys (7 and 14). We'll let them stay up until midnight, which is a huge treat for our 7yo.

We had dinner a little while ago, and I let the boys pick whatever they wanted to eat. We had homeade black-eyed peas, cornbread, queso, chips, white cheese and rosemary risotto, and brownies with cheesecake topping. It was a crazy meal, but it was yummy. :)

We'll watch some TV, and probably play Uno, X-box Kinect, or Ping-Pong in a little while. It should be a fun, family evening. :)

Happy New Year!

My husband is trying to get over being sick, so no alcohol involved. We will toast with the kids with grape juice and let them go to bed. Then we will watch TV or play Xbox Kinect. We are boring people for sure...

We are doing family Christmas. I should be more festive, but my daughters internet is out of service and there are so many of us that I'm not really all that excited about just sitting and listening to all the chatter for hours without being able to play on my laptop. I hope to come back around 7 and watch a show that's live online to bring in the new year.

We are spending the evening with family friends. It will be sad though because the wife in one couple passed away this year. We are all hoping for 2012 to be much better than 2011. We are looking forward to saying goodbye to 2011!!

Well, after Lojacking my 18 year old daughter....not really, she is working until 11:00. I'm sure she will visit her boyfriend for a bit after.

I will be here safe and sound. Boring as ever, avoiding drunk drivers. I will probably watch TV and get some paperwork done for work. I'm a real thrill seeker!!
