Dear M.:
Congratulations. I will not give you a list of names - there are books on just that. However, I will point out that you may want to consider something for your boy's future. He may be travelling outside the country and he will need to mention/spell his name where ever he goes. Therefore I would choose a name that is easy to spell and that has a counterpart in many other languages.
For example, I called my son Andrew, because in German it is Andreas, in Italian and Spanish Andreo, in Russian Andrej and so forth. Same with Peter, Robert and many other names. If my son goes to one of these countries, he can pick the equivalent which will still sound familiar to him. If you pick something like Taylor, people will struggle with it outside of the US. Similarly, a made-up name or very rare name may be hard to spell.
I got somewhat lucky with my name, because W. can be pronounced in English ('wolf', 'gang') and Mozart is well-known so that my name mostly rings a bell, although some people still look at me with a blank stare.
Just something to consider...
Regards,
W.
We named our son Trenton James, but we also liked; Paxton and Preston.
I have 2 girls so a boy's name was never an issue. However,I will second the name "Cash"
(I'm a big Johnny Cash fan)
I really love the name Landry too!
Good luck and Congratulations!
I love Cash too - I actually have a friend who has a boy named Cash (well, he is in college so he is not a boy any longer). We have 2 boys, Curan & Jeron, and for obvious reasons, like those names. We also have friends who have named children after ours including my husband, Cort & his brother, Bruin. We always run into peole not knowing how to say Curan and we have to stress the "n" in Jeron or he will be Jero-d but that is something to consider...I don't think I would have changed anything. My sister's little ones names are Walker & Trevor (no, not Walker & Texas Ranger - we get that a lot since they are twins) but we have always loved both names and I also like Dutch for a boy. Cort and I always looked up the meanings for names and made the decision based on sound and meaning - including thinking of rhymes and other names that children would eventually say when teasing them...like me, "M. Darci".
It's fun - good luck!!!
Congrats!! That's soo exciting!!! Have your husband make a list of boy names that he likes and you make a list as well. Then switch lists and compare. If you have any that match, that's good...if not, then you have alot of work ahead of you! lol
Good luck and keep us posted!!

A friend of mine suggested that I imagine the name being said on the PA system of a sporting event. That was helpful for us.
Congrats and Good Luck!
I just had a boy four months ago and the names that we liked were, Noah, Jonah, Ethan, Cash, Braxton and call him Brax. I really liked that name alot but my husband wasn't to keen about it. We ended up using Raegan Aaron. Ialso like Jackson and Ty.
I have an 18 mo old son. Here are a few of the names we liked. Tucker, Chance, Tanner, Case, Coit, Gage, Hunter, Hudson, Preston, Clayton, Riley, Tate, Braydon, Kalin, etc. I could go on and on but those were my faves.
I have 2 girls so I was not able to use name for boys that I like.....Jordan, Patrich, Andrew....my favorit!
Congrats...I wish you the best! Let us know what name you choose!
We are going to name our next child, if it's a boy, Gabriel. Other names I like for a boy are Antonio Alexander (my 8 year old sons name), Elliott, Vaughn, Christian, Cameron, Nicholas, and Michael. Good luck and CONGRATS!
Congrats!!! Boys are soo much fun. So adventurous. there's never a dull moment! And they sooo love to play the rescue hero...especially when it comes to protecting Momma. It's so fascinating to watch them grow up!! I have a 4 yr old son and he's the sunshine of my life!!
We named him Matthew Austin..... matthew means "gift from God".....and Austin - because we love Texas. We moved away from texas for 2 yrs and we realized how much we missed TX.
And when's he's older he can decide if he wants to go by "Matt" or "Matthew"....we call him Matthew. But it's definietly a name that fits well in the kid world and in the business world (when he's an adult!) So many times, I run across a "Bryce" or a "Tanner"....and I think these names sound babyish....and might not go so well with fraternity brothers or football teammates.
that's just my 2 cents.
here's a good link for the top boy names....

I suggest picking a name that has a strong meaning/definition....My husband said that boys will at some point in their life...search and investigate what their name means...and that will give them identity and confidence.
