I would try a couple of smaller boot trays for each set of wheels. Then the wheels sit in it but the rest of the stroller wouldn't.
Hi everyone. Just at the mall this week with my little one...got back to the car and realized how yucky the stroller wheels were. With all the "newness" that being a first-time mommy brings, I hadn't anticipated this! Any creative ideas out there so the back of the car doesn't get all dirty each and every time??

I dealt with that today...for the first time, too! I plan on putting an old sheet or blanket down in the back of my station wagon. When it gets unbearable, I'll wash it. It beats cleaning the back of the car out.
I look forward to seeing others' suggestions, too.
A vinyl table cloth with the flannel backing. It is inexpensive. I have used it for under the kids seats at supper time and under the kids when they paint.
I used a shower curtain liner in my trunk for the stroller drips.
I also put something on the back of the seat to keep the shoe drips from staining once my daughter started to walk. I still have it, but since she faces forward, it's now on the back of the passenger seat.
I have cream carpet and leather seats in my SUV. I put down a black blanket that I always keep in my car for outside and soccer games. It works great, and washes up easy. Hope this helps.
a good quality tarp Fleet Farm, walmart, or any "outdoor store" should have them in their camping section. We have one on the back of our van for the same reason. Good quality is key b/c otherwise they will tear and that defeats the purpose; the tarp could then be wiped dry with a towel when you get home if you so desire.
Hey J.... :-)
I know a lot of moms (myself included) who line the trunk or back of the suv with a carpet remnant. Then when the weather is nicer you can vacuum it out. If it permanantly yucky - it doesn't matter. Someday when you are done with strollers you just throw it out and have your nice clean trunk back. Rugs work ok, but since they are thinner the slush tends to melt through and they move around alot more.
Have a great snowy weekend!

I have a van and just put down a towel and the floor where the stroller goes.
Try putting plastic or a towel down first. K.
With our Tahoe we bought a really inexpencive mudroom like mate at Menards. It was the perfect size, but could have been cut down if needed. It was also waterproof! In our van we have the same rug and we cut holes for the back seats. I also have a plastic "boot" mate... also for Menards I think. That I just put under the wheels. If its layed down I use 2, if standing I use one, but have to cover the seat with a plastic bag or something. Both are super easy to clean! I hope that you find something that works for you.
We actually used some vinyl covering we got specifically for protecting the trunks/back ends of vehicles. You usually cut them to size. But I also laid a towel down as well. I'm done with a stroller now, but if I did it again I would order the LL Bean Waterhog Cargo Mat. Not cheap, but I think worth the money to save your vehicle.

I store my stroller upright in the back of my van. (So folded, but then "tall" instead of lying down.) This way, all the wheels are on the ground instead of two of them against the back of the seat. Then I put a folded towel under the stroller to absorb the mess.
may be an oversized boot tray. i picked up a trunk tray at kohl's.
Just throw some old towels or blankets back there, or maybe even a tarp.
There are a lot of good answers here. I just gave up on the stroller and rented one at the mall whenever I got there. Haha.. These other ideas are much more helpful!
