I have a 6 month old little girl and it has snowed alot lately and there is snow outside now. I want to teach her that snow is fun, but don't really know of any fun and safe 'snow games for a 6 month old. Any ideas would work because I just want us to have fun and play in the snow. BTW she will be warm I have a snow suit for her and mittens and a hat.

What can I do next?

You can try taking her out in it, but my son pretty much hated it will he was about 5 yrs old. When he was a baby I'd take him out to watch Dad shovel the driveway and he'd look at me like "Are you nuts, Mom? It's COLD out here!" and start crying. Once he was older he was all about snow balls, snow men, snow forts, snow angels, etc.

I would just take her outside and sit her down in the snow. She will have a blast just figuring out what it is. You can talk to her about what snow is like - cold, wet, white, sparkly, etc. I keep our time outside short, but go out several times. Enjoy your first snow with baby!

Since she is so young I would introduce her to the snow, let her touch it and taste it. I have a little boy that is 2yr old in my daycare and was never introduced to it and is terrified of it. It took us a few weeks to get him to the point of just touching it. If you are worried about her getting too cold with no mittens on, I suggest that if you have a bucket or large bowl fill it with snow and have it in the kitchen with her, and let her go crazy :)

I would recommend the idea of bringing the snow into her inside -- put it in a bucket and let her play with it in the kitchen. Every kid is different - so she may or may not enjoy it outside

I found a baby sled at buy buy baby that lets my little guy sit up without falling over and has a lap belt. We took him out in it this weekend and he was blissfully mellow (or else he couldn't move because he was so bundled up). Otherwise, I would think touching and tasting would be about it.

She is young for snow, if you take her out just bundle her up and don't keep out out long. I doubt she will enjoy the snow for long anyway. My kids hated snow till they were much older.

You could put her in a laundry basket, tie a rope on the end of it and pull her across the yard. Our park district has iceskating days for toddlers and preschoolers, and that was one of their suggestions. The little ones love it!

Honestly, at that age, I doubt she will get anything out of it. My 13 months of doesn't even have a vague interest in looking at the snow. I wish I had some good suggestion for you.
