Depends on WHY he's snoring. There are 40 kajillion causes for snoring, some fixable, some surgically fixable, some not.
I snore because of a broken nose. Didn't used to. My son snores because of asthma. My husband only snores when he's dehydrated. My mum snores from weight gain. A friend snored from a deviated septum (my septum's J. fine, I have bits of broken bone constricting the airway). My sister snores due to allergies that make her breathe through her mouth. Another sister snores when she's on her back (tongue falls into the back of her throat). A brother of mine only snores when he's lonely / sleeping alone (hey, we had multiple kids in each bedroom... if he can't hear someone breathing in his sleep, his body creates the sound as a self soothing technique). A girlfriend snores due to an eating disorder that screwed up her larynx and esophagus.
And those are only a few reasons.
Unless you know the reason, there's no way to know the fix, or if one is possible at all.
Physical.. and if that doesn't bring up a glowing neon sign pointing to the cause... sleep study.
