Small Gift ($5) for Preteen/Early Teen Boy

I'm going on a Disney cruise and they have a program where you can exchange small gifts with other passengers on the cruise. You basically leave these small gifts in a hanging organizer outside the passengers door. I think it's a great idea and I'm excited to see what others will leave my kids. I have great ideas for young kids and teen girls, but I have no idea what to get the boys. The young kids are getting arts and crafts stuff, the teens girls are getting nail polish and lip gloss, and the adults are getting small liquor bottles. I'm also doing a beach bag for the whole cabin including sunscreen, candy, mints, gum, etc. What should I get for the boys? I'm trying to stay @ $5 for each boy.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

These are some good suggestions. I was at a loss for what to do and now I have some direction.

MamaTwinkie, go to disboards.com. It's everything about Disney and you can search for your cruise date and ship. That is how I found mine. A person will usually take the reigns and organize a FE (fish extenders) program and you just need to provide your information. Someone on my cruise did this through disboards.com and set up a Facebook page. There is also a Fish Extenders face book page that gives lots of ideas for gifts (most are out of my price range). But the facebook page also give you all the general information you need about how the program works.

MAD magazine - they do still publish it although it's not easy to find. Otherwise gift cards to things like Subway, McDonalds, Yogurt Crazy, BAskin Robbins, Friendly's, Dunkin donuts, etc.

I asked my 11 year old daughter what the boys she knows like to get for gifts. She suggested iTunes gift cards. She also said that boys as well as girls like the glow-stick bracelets.

I second the big league gum pouches. My son loves those. I second a lot of what oneperfectone says. Mad lib books, they always find those funny. dive toys for the pool.

On a cruise? I would get something that they can do if they don't feel like going out on the deck, pool, etc.

A package of cards - even Uno -
Travel Yatzee - like this - http://www.amazon.com/Travel-Yahtzee/dp/B0027SG2VO - I have one but didn't pay $20 for it...I'm sure you can get it cheaper

Any ways - my 11 (almost 12 year old) would love to have card games, Magic Cards (hard to know if the kid receiving likes this) but packages of Magic Cards would be awesome for my son...you can pick those up at Target as well.

Not sure if a package of baseball cards would work...kinda like the Magic cards...not sure if the kid is into baseball...or basketball...or football...

Does this sign up give you ANY information about the kid(s) and what they like and don't like? I guess that would help.

Cinch bags - go to the 5&under store on Route 7 (Burlington Coat Factory) and look at what they have in there. Nothing over $5...

Good luck!
