Slowing down on Nursing - Bra Size?

My LO is 10 months old. I've gone down to just nursing him when I'm home - when I'm at work he gets formula. He nurses morning s and nights - more on weekends... My boobs have dramatically "deflated" and none of my nursing bras fit that I bought after he was born. I need new bras, but am not sure if I should go get sized now? Will they deflate more after I completely stop nursing? Will I have nothing left?! ;-)

What can I do next?

Deflate? hehe I'd get one or two bras now and then in 1 year get resized. Within 2 years of weaning completely, they tend to get into the shape they will stay and usually feel more firm. I LOVE sports bras, I wear them whether I'm nursing or not.

First off everyone is different. I went fom a 34B to a 38D for nursing then right back to my 34B. Other Mom's complain that they get flat as a poster and others keep a little after nursing. Would it help to get a removable push-up pad to fill in the cup? Is the cup just a little to big or the band too.

You could go and get a fitting and see about buying a few bras on clearance, then wait until you are done nursing and get another fitting and new bras.

After i stopped nursing they deflated so much. I ended up smaller than i was before i got preg. What i did was wore sports bras until all my milk was gone. then i invested in a good push up bra lol. You can always go to kmart and get a cheap bra to until you settle in a size.

Unfortunately...everyone is different. I know mine are not going to change much from what they are right now (still nursing 17 month old).
How long have you had this routine?
You could get 1 or 2 cheap bras to get you by right now...

Everyone is different and every pregnancy is different. For both my pregnancies I went from a D cup to an H cup - and I didn't gain a whole lot of weight for either pregnancy. After my first pregnancy I went down to a D cup again no problem, after I stopped nursing, though. After my second pregnancy, at the same pre-pregnancy weight, I only went down to a DD. Not fair. I wanted to be one of those who deflated, to be honest. I hate hauling around big boobs! I waited a year and a half and then had a breast reduction, when it became apparent they weren't going to budge in size no matter how much weight I lost. My back and my shoulders thank me! :-)

Go get fit at a store that specializes in nursing bras. There is no commitment, and you can see what choices you have. You may be surprised the comfort a new, well fitting bra will bring, and there are some bras that are still pretty flexible in fit.
