Does anyone have any recommendations on slings? I have the baby bjorns and am not crazy about them. My babies feet turn blue in them after being in them for an extended time. I'm thinking of trying a sling but there are so many different kinds to choose from. Any ideas?

I have a 1 month old and we are LOVING our Moby wrap. It is a wrap and you said sling, but I really love it. I was in the same boat as you with my Bjorn and was looking for an alternative. I tried a diff. one with baby #2, but the learning curve was a bit too high with another child to care for that I ended up returning it. You can check it out at mobywrap.com Hope this helps!
I dont have twins but I used the Moby wrap. It's really versatile and I loved it. I'm not sure how it would for twins though :/ I know you can use it for twins but I think from what i've seen it's more for when they are really young. I used it for Alyssa up until about a month ago. I could still use it but I'm having a hard time figuring out the back position for her. Anyway hope that helps.
We used a New Native carrier, I loved it. Lot's of position possibilities, and my oldest daughter was sad when we stopped using it! :)
I used SIL used Nojo with great results- look for one with a built in shoulder pad, really helped me, and it had cushioning along the top around the top edge of the sling which helps for comfort of the child... Have you looked into hugabub wraps? those are comfy too.
Hi M.,
I personally like the Hotsling http://www.hotslings.com/. I did some research and was able to go and try one on at a store nearby. There are some other slings that look very nice too. This sling can be used in a variety of carrying positions and there is no ring needed. You just have to look at the instructions to figure out how to use it for different stages. It takes a little getting used to, but it's far more comfortable on my back than the Baby Bjorn. It seems to distribute the weight more easily, plus the baby is snuggled and seems cozy.

M.,
I would highly recommend the Maya wrap. You can check them out here: http://www.mayamama.com

There are so many to choose from you should really try them all (each type, Ring Slings, Wraps, Pouches, Mei Tais, Structured Carriers) before you buy anything. My ds is just not a RS guy, but loves to be wrapped or carried in the MT. So your babies (and you) may have preferences. Do you know if you have a NINO group in your area? Check out The Babywearer forums http://www.thebabywearer.com/ and look for a local group where you can try out out all different types of slings and get one on one instructions and support from other mamas!
Really check out a local NINO org (Nine In, Nine Out), and you can make your own sling, if you are even slightly crafty, out of a bed sheet and an O-ring
i just got a nojo for my baby that is due in november, i havent actually used it myself but my friend had one and she was able to use it till her little boy way like 18 months b/c you can wear them on your hip, i've played around with it and it looks like its gonna be great for nursing b/c it totally covers the fact that you are nursing
M. ~ Maya Wrap, Maya Wrap, Maya Wrap! We LOVE ours. Tried all of the "traditional" carriers w/our first two children & NOTHING felt "right" or "comfortable," so we always ended up just carrying them on our hip or pushing them in a stroller. With our youngest, we were given a Maya Wrap & carried him home from the hospital in it. It's comfortable, machine washable & versatile. I could nurse him discreetly in public (there's extra material that you can flip back over your shoulder while nursing), carry him w/my hands free @ home, etc. IN FACT, he's THREE now & still occasionally uses the wrap when he's tired (now, on the side/hip or on the back).
Check it out & see what you think.
BEST WISHES!
