I have one year old twins and they are in the same room. My boy twin falls asleep in his bed and sleeps thru the whole night but the girl foes not. She has to fall asleep on the floor evey night and then I can put her in her crib, but then she gets up once or twice a night and I have to either lay her in the bed with me or sit in the chair with her for about an hour till she is asleep and a good sleep. I dont know why she just started this about 5 mnths ago. I don't know how to get her to fall asleep in her bed or atleast slepp thru the whole night. She has to chair a room with her twin brother too. I have a 7yr old boy also amd my 7yr old always sleep thru the night and still does to this day and my daughter twin brother sleeps thru the night too. Any suggestions on how to get my little girl to sleep thru the night would be great.

Try moving your boys into the same room and giving your girl her own room. Maybe you will be able to let her fuss a little longer and sooth herself back to sleep without your help. If you twin boy is not in the room her fussing wouldn't be disruptive to him. Self soothing is hard for some children (and parents) to learn, but it is important. Good luck!

When my daughter went from crib to toddler bed she was having similar behavior. She'd fall asleep on the ground, my lap or in bed with me. I now have a bedtime routine-- for us: Bach Relaxation CD and I read to her and also stay by her bed until she falls asleep. Obviousely, you would include your son in it as well. Hope this helps!

OK, so the twins probably get fed the same thing, so not diet.
Then structure= if she likes the floor& that is more comfortable, then it gives her body support the bed doesn't- she may need an adjustment.

If she falls asleep on the floor, let her sleep there. If you fell asleep in your bed and someone rolled you out into the rosegarden, wouldn't you wake up? Leave her where she is and see if that helps. All children rouse through the night but they go back to sleep. She does not because she is not where she fell asleep. If you want her in the crib then let her fall asleep in there and after a few nights of hollering she will settle in and stop crying...rveryone will then sleep peacefully.

Try a separate room with a playpen or something and around her normal bedtime just put her in it, and no getting her back out... and if she has a favorite teddy or something...put that next to her, so when she wakes and you leave her alone...she will finally realize that her teddy is all she gets and goes back to sleep. It only took about 3 nights with my baby girl--until she realized mommy is not coming to get me anymore. I was glad it worked quick because my husband had the idea and was determined it would finally pay off....and it did!
My baby boy now is a different story...so it may not work with some babies.
