How long does a 12 week sleep? And stay awake during the day? Mine likes to sleep all the time, is that normal. She only stays awake about 1-2 hours at a time, and then snoozes the rest.

What can I do next?

I would say that is pretty normal. All children are different though. Does she eat good? Is everything else normal? If so, I wouldn't worry. My son used to sleep from 9:30-7:30 and then took a nap from 9:30-noon and then again from 2:00-4:00. He didn't stop this schedule until he was almost 15 months old. I would say, enjoy the peace time:-))
Good luck.

I had a baby girl who slept 20 hours a day at that age and the Dr. said it was within normal limits.

This is normal. All babies differ in their sleep pattern. As long as they are not showing any signs of distress and they are eating well and gaining weight then I think that it is fine. But if you feel you should get help call your childs pediatrician.

Be thankful you have a sleeper. I have a liitle boy who turns 3 today and has yet to sleep through the night. I have forgotten what a full night sleep feels like.I am currently in my second trimester and praying for a sleeper like yours with our second child.

S.,

That sounds normal to me. My twins are almost 6 months now and take two big naps and two cat naps a day. I remember when they were three months thinking the same as you. I had mine on a eat, nap, play schedule. and yes it did seem like all they did was sleep. If they are staying awake for 2 hours at a time I think that is great for a three month old.
