It helped me to put my daughters down very early (6pm). For some reason, babies' brains seem to be wired differently than ours, and it is easier for them to fall asleep and stay asleep if they're put down a lot earlier. That, and don't let her fall asleep nursing (or taking a bottle). Make sure she eats a big, full meal maybe a half hour before you put her down for the night. When you put her down, she should be awake but calm. This way, she learns how to fall asleep on her own, and if she wakes up in the night, she will know how to get herself back to sleep without your intervention. It's normal for babies to wake up at night, and you shouldn't intervene unless they seem distressed (actively crying, sounding hungry or scared). I hope you find something that helps! Good luck!
