My husband had a sleep study and I wish he had done it about a year earlier! The sleep study showed that he had sleep apnea and had several instances of not breathing while he was sleeping. It's really hard to get good quality sleep and feel good when you are waking up all night long. Once he got the CPAP machine, he started sleeping better. Before the CPAP, he felt terrible all the time. He had trouble breathing, heart palpitations, dizziness, and panic attacks. He was just a mess. He saw every doctor you can think of because he was worried he had something seriously wrong going on. After starting the CPAP, the difference is like night and day. He has lots of energy and is much easier to be around and can play all day with our kids. He also was able to start exercising and has lost about 20 pounds and put on muscle. I know a sleep study is expensive, but it's simple enough to do. We were very happy we had it done.
