Hi, S..
I have twin girls who are just over 2 years old and struggled with sleep issues until recently. My husband and I split up the girls for a little while, hoping they would sleep better, then a little after their first birthday we decided to put them back in their room together, as there was never really going to be a "perfect" time to put them back in the same room. We had similar concerns that you mentioned. The girls did great and it didn't take long for the adjustment. They got used to each other and for the most part, slept through the cries of the other. I also have a friend who has triplets and they have all been in the same room since birth and she has same experience, as well. All of her kids sleep through the sounds of the other, for the most part. Good luck!
