If she's not falling out of the bed, I really wouldn't worry about it :) There are enough things to worry about as a parent, so unless there is really a concern of safety or duration of sleep is effected, I wouldn't make this an issue.
How do I get my 2 1/2 yr old to start sleeping in her bed up and down and on a pillow or without a pillow like we as adults do and would a headboard help with that? She's all over her twin bed like she used to be in the crib.

I agree. As long as you have guard rails on the bed and she is safe she will eventually sleep where she's supposed to.
I'd be happy she's sleeping and as long as she's safe don't worry about it.
I didn't sleep like a grownup in bed till I was about 10 according to my parents. Sometimes I still wake up the wrong way in bed, but only if my husband is out of town. LOL! It's not a big deal, and I have in fact fallen out of bed on occasion, which in reality isn't bad either because I've never hurt myself. My son does the same thing, and also hasn't hurt himself either. I took away his guard rail, and lined the floor next to his bed with pillows, because the guardrail became an obstacle course and he kept trying to somersault over it. That I found was not safe, and he's really fine. Sometimes he falls, but has never woken up. He sleeps at least 9-12 hrs per night with a three hour nap in the afternoon. As long as your daughter is sleeping why worry?
