I use Neutrogena, it's a 3 product system that they compare to proactive. I've used it for about a year now and really like it. Doesn't dry my skin out at all.
What is everyones skincare regiman? What face cleaners do you use, etc? I'm almost 35 and I still get blackheads and pimples. I don't understand why though. I wash my face with a face wash twice daily.

I use the Nicole Miller cleaners.
Hi M. :)
You need a cleanser with salicyclic acid (sounds scary). Any will do, but you'll need one with a 15% ratio. I think you'll be VERY happy with the results! I know I am.
Neutrogena makes a few great cleansers.
Good luck!

Hi M.,
Pimples are generally systemic. They are coming from the inside out. That's a nutritional issue and can be controlled with diet and the right kind of vitamin. I take one that is guaranteed to absorb and is safe. Not all on the market are.
Blackheads are commonly thought of as dirt getting into a pore. It's not necessarily dirt. Sometimes there are things within our face wash that can actually clog a pore. The synthetic chemicals used in a lot of "cleansers" are not cleaning at all. Once the pore has been "stretched" you will continue to have susceptibility there. If you use foundation, especially the drugstore or department store brands, then you could be exacerbating the problem as well.
I take an absorbable vitamin and use Nicole Miller skincare and cosmetics like Jb B. My skin has not always been clear but has been for the last five years I've used these products.

M.
For my face, I am currently using Aveda All Sensitive Cleanser, Toner and Moisturizer on my face and I love it too. I’ve used it for 10 years now. It’s great because I can slap on some lotion in the middle of the day if I need to, and it is never oily or greasy. I buy it “in bulk” so I don’t run out for awhile!
I am slowly “switching stores” and converting everything to Nicole Miller’s beauty line because I can get a 40% discount. I don’t sell the products, but I can show you how you can get them if you are interested.
I am almost 40 and still get breakouts once in a while. This is quite normal at our age because of stress, hormonal changes and reactions to ingredients found in skin products. I've found bar soaps of any kind, toners with alcohol, moisturizers with cocoa butter and drinking soda trigger these. I also wash my hands, avoid touching my face, and wipe down phones frequently. In terms of products, most anti-acne products are too drying for sensitive skin. I use Johnson & Johnson Baby Wash twice a day and Clinique Moisture Surge at night to keep my skin clear. Oil-free sunscreens such as Coppertones Faces and Neutrogena Ultra-Sheer are both excellent.
I am a huge Clinique fan and I have used it since I was about 11. My 15 yr old daughter also uses it faithfully.
I am 48 and I have easily passed for early to mid 30's and I attribute that to good genes and faithful skin care.
I use the liquid mild soap twice daily. I currently use the Repairwear Series of moisturizer day and night. My daughter, since she is 15, uses the Acne wash and dramatically different gel moisturizer. We both have great skin.
NEVER go to bed without washing your face and using creme. You skin heals at night. I sleep on a nice satin pillowcase which is good for your skin and hair. Drink a LOT of water. I might drink 6 16 oz per day...it keeps you hydrated. I love my red wine in the evenings, just don't overdo it and drink more water.
Good luck
Mary Kay has awesome skin care!!! The Timewise products for combo/oily skin will help clear your skin as well as provide the latest in anti-aging benefits. If you are not using products formulated for oily/combo skin then it is probably drying out your skin, which in return causes your skin to produce more oil.
I use Shaklee's Enfuselle skincare. I love that people think I am 10-15 years younger than I am. I'm also a wellness educator. The breakouts may be due to a hormonal imbalance that is easy to correct. If you are interested, let me know and I will send free skincare samples and/or help you with the imbalance.

Chances are it's hormonal or genetic.
I've had acne all my life (since around 11 years old). I always know when my period's coming because I break out.
I was on birth control to help reduce the hormonal fluctuations, antibiotics, topical antibiotics, etc. to control the break outs.
I prefer not to do anything now other than washing and occasional Benzyl Peroxide.
I'd recommend talking to your doctor and seeing a dermatologist to see what they recommend.
I've been using Kiehl's non-detergent foaming cleanser for about 4 years and love it. It's not cheap, but it cleans my skin better than what I could get at Target. I just ask my husband to replace my stash for Mother's Day, birthdays, and Christmas.
