I have been dealing with this issue for over a year now and I hope that I can get some great suggestions or ideas. I've had a lot of itching and irritation in the 'lady area'. I've been to the doctor several times and the last time, about 6 mo ago, he suggested that it could be an allergy issue. So I changed all of my soaps to Dove, Tide free and clean, bounce free, and even sensitive toilet paper! All of this seems to really help, but I still battle major irritation during my menstrual cycle! I've tried all name brand pads and all of them seem to bother me. Tampons make things worse!! Now I am looking for something that's organic, scent free, dye free, chlorine free, and latex free. I would also prefer not to buy online. Please tell me what brand you like that meets these qualities and where I can buy them that would be great!

What can I do next?

all those "free" soaps are still FULL of chemicals! please buy some Dr. Bronners soap and either get a DIVA cup or find unbleached organic cotton tampons. ALso have it biopsied...i was diagnosed with psoriasis and the first spot it appeared in was the vaginal area. Honestly i didnt find help until i started going to the chiropractor and he got my spine in line and got me eating healthy and taking the right quality vitamins. I suggest you look into that! it is so incredibly frustrating I know! DONT wait until you are desperate like i was! Also diluting REAL essential oil of lavender can be a FANTASTIC itch relief though not a solution, but can help as you are looking for a solution!

I googled for sensitive skin tampons, just out of curiosity, after reading your question and the only thing I really found was the following link: http://www.mooncupsandkeepers.com/
It doesn't seem like something I would be comfortable with personally, but I also am not comfortable using tampons.
Good luck and I hope someone comes up with a better option for you!

I use the diva cup and love it! I also notice that I need to use a lubricant during my cycle to prevent dryness and itching.

Not necessarily so, but I started having all kinds of reactions to things and was eventually diagnosed with a strep infection. While it didn't take away everything it helped alot. There is the pads/tampons/diva cup at Whole Foods. There is a cup available at places like CVS made of silicon. My symptoms have gotten better but my skin still is sensitive...if clothes are not highly dirty use a little baking soda and vinegar in the wash and dry them without "stuff". If dirty wash them in dye free detergent and then do a vinegar rinse to break away any residue left from the detergent. Always wash new items before wearing as they sometimes spray batches of clothing with chemicals to make them look better and sometimes with pesticides to make a treck over from a foreign county without bug holes. Make sure your diet is clean too, if your eating alot of processed foods then this will inhibit your bodies ability to fight off other stuff/reactions/bacteria/virus. Also either intake gluten less or go without for 6 weeks this also may make reactions less or go away. Just thought I'd put ideas out there to try.
