Hey Moms!
I was just wondering if anyone has used Sittercity. Is it worth the $40? How was your experience with the sitter? Any insight would be appreciated.

hi,
the babysitter we're currently using was found through sittercity. It was great until we found her, but we had to go through a lot of people before finding her. It's just like any process, it takes a little while to find someone who will work out. It was an easy way to find someone instead of doing newspaper ads. You can even put an ad and have the sitters respond to you. Plus once you find someone, you can cancel the service. good luck
I have been using sittercity for many months and it has been wonderful. We used to live in the south suburbs and just moved to the city and it has been a godsend. I was able to get sitters in both areas. It is easy to use and all the sitters that I have used have been wonderful.
Yes, sittercity has been great. We have found lots of referrals through them. Definitely worth the $40. We also live in Evanston and it has been great!
Hi J.,
As a mother of 3 yr old twins and a sitter, i use sittercity all the time. You get to go thru 100 sitters near you and choose and meet the ones you want. I have used a few really good sitters on the site. I also have met a bunch of awesome families that i sit for. So yes its worth the one time fee of 40.00
If you ever need a sitter give me a call ###-###-####.
Hi J.,
I had a great experience with sittercity. I spent the 40$$ and interviewed sitters in my home, tried them out while I was around, then for an hour while I went out close by, and we found a sitter that has been with us for about a year and a half now. She is a college student and very reliable. Good luck!

My cousin used it to find a nanny and raves about it. I'm going to use it for finding someone to care for my daughters over the summer.
I would be interested to find out any information that you find out about them as well. Thanks!
Hi J.- I did not pay the $40 but I advertise myself on sittercity and I am a good babysitter. If you need a good sitter for an occasional evening out, give me a call- ###-###-####...or email me at ____@____.com and I could tell you more about myself...best wishes, M.
I am currently using two sitters that I found on sittercity. They are great. I called them and setup interviews at a Starbucks, a neutral location, and asked a list of questions as well as references. I have found that most of sittercity is college students wanting to make extra money. I use them daily for my five month old son. It is worth it. I got 35 hits the day after it posted. Great source!
Hi J.,
I've found a couple of good sitters on Sitter City. I do think the $40 is worth it, since it gives you a big selection of sitters that you can narrow down based on their qualifications. For the two good ones I found (one went back to college), I interviewed several others, so it may require a bit of work on your part to find the right one.
Good luck!
My neigbor and friend uses it and she is very careful. She loves the service - has a 3 and 1 year old.
