Hi Momma's!

I know this question has been asked here before, but I'm looking for feedback on SitterCity.com or Care.com. Have you used either? Did you find quality sitters/nannies? I read some reviews and complaints about Sittercity.com, that said the "free trail" was useless, and that there have been some scams, but those seemed to be aimed at sitters and nannies looking for work, not families looking for care. We are looking for a part-time nanny that could work into full time later, possibly, and I was thinking that this would be a good place to start. But I was wondering about the fee's, and quality of people on the sites. Thanks so much in advance. Any input, good or bad, is appreciated.

What can I do next?

I'm posted as a childcare provider on Care.com and have had my last 3 jobs from there.I'm also posted with sittercity and haven't gotten no feedback.
I've found no problem with the Care & would recommend that you, as a potential customers try it. I've never received spam or had a scam and the only way others get your info is if/when you give it to them.

There are several postings of parents looking for in home nannies. The sight really varies on the job titles!

If worried about the person - ask for references that you can check and see if they have a backgound check on the site. Also, see if they have any feedback on them.
Good Luck!

I guess it depends on who you get with them! My sis is a nanny and she posts there. She is amazing wiht her BA in Early childhood etc.
I do not think they do background checks- just a place for people to connect. Do your own research on people!

I have an account on both sittercity and care, but I am using it as a sitter trying to find work. I prefer care over sittercity.

I'm can't give you any advice on the quality of the nannies and sitters on the site. I just wanted to say that if you are trying to choose between which site to use, I would suggest care.

Hi A.,

I have used Sitter City for a few years and am pretty pleased. With my last job posting for an occasional sitter I received almost 40 applicants! You can really get your pick of the litter with response rates like that! I haven't used Care.com so I cannot compare.

I have hired 4 Sitter City sitters over the past few years. Only 1 is someone I would not use again (foul language and some other bad habits.)
