Just a quick question I have always wondered about...
With sit n stand strollers, how old/large of a child can they hold? After our daughter was born I thought when we have our second, I would love to get a sit n stand stroller. But, she is now 5 and we don't have a 2nd one yet haha We are hoping to start trying at the end of the year, so our daughter would be 6 when the baby is born.
Is she gonna be way too old? I'm not sure if we will need that type of stroller at that point, but thought I'd ask if it's even possible before I consider it! lol

Thanks for the replies! Yeah, sounds like I won't need it lol She is turning 5 in a couple weeks and weighs almost 40 lbs lol so she's a little one :)

I would think at that point it would be a waste of money. I mean, my 5 year old has hiked up to 8 1/2 miles on his own, and at 4 did 3 miles in snow shoes! I think a child that age is more than capable of walking and keeping up on their own.
Probably not worth it with that big an age split. Mine are 3 years apart and we had a sit and stand that we used for maybe a year or less and then passed on to a friend who was expecting her second (same age split as mine). The problem was a that even a sit and stand is significantly bigger and heavier than a regular stroller. It is rare you need a kid over 3.5 or 4 to be in a stroller. Also most strollers have a 40 lb limit (a few go up to 50), even the sit and stand ones. My older one is not quite 5 and he has been over 50 lbs for at least a year.
We used the sit & stand until my first 2 were 8 & 5 maybe..but, honestly we had been phasing it out. We used it for super long days at Disneyland and the Zoo and used it a lot more to hold our stuff then the kids, well..the oldest kid, the youngest still needed it after a really long day like that a lot more.
When our third was born they were 8 & 5 and we haven't used it since she was born. When we're out super long days ,my second will ride in his sisters stroller here and there while I carry the youngest in a sling or something. It depends on the temperment of the kid, my first used a stroller a lot longer than my second ever wanted to.
It is about weight more than age. But, they hold a lot more than they claim they do..you should see what we did to it during the San Diego Comic Convention! LOL It gets hard to stear when you have a heavier child sitting in the front, they have to be on the back after a certain point.
We used ours so much we broke the first one and bought a second one. The boys were 3yrs & 4 months old when we bought our first one.
We are constantly going and running and playing!

It is more of a weight thing. She could probably ride at 6, but she'll probably be to independent to want to do that. We have a sit n stand for our 6 month old and 2 year old. Our 5 year old has to walk. Occasionally he'll hop on with the 2 year old.
