Moms-
Any advise on where to get rid of some of the items my children have outgrown? I had a garage sale but the weather wasn't very nice so it didn't go over very well. I also missed my church's mom-to-mom so that's out too. Are there any other mom-to-mom sales coming up that you know of?
Thanks!

Hey everyone!
Thank you so much for all of you awesome suggetions. I ended up selling it on Craigslist for the asking price. I plan to put more things up there too. It was so easy.
You're the best!

Also, we just sold a double baby jogger in less than a day on craig's list.
There are two children's resale stores in clinton township. not sure how much they pay for things...but you could check them out. Children's Orchard is on the corner of M59 and Hayes, and Kidz2kidz is on Garfield near 17 mile.

To find local mom to mom sales, check out the Pink List:

If the items are high ticket value, try posting your items on CraigsList.
Or if you don't have time to do that, drop off your value items at a local eBay auction place like Main Street Auction where your items will be sold on eBay with a small fee given to the auctioner.

If you want to get rid of those items without a profit, try Freecycle.com. It's a great tool to get rid of things that are in still in good condition or even acquire some items. I've used it a few times already and its priceless.
Here's a main listing -

Try the website MOM2MOMlist.com- it list upcoming sales that you can also rent spaces at.
Hi A.,
Try these: http://www.freecycle.org/, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Cheapcycle_Groups/, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/onlinemom2mom/, and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/clintontwpcheaptoys/
They're all really good sources for getting rid of your stuff! If you just want to give it away, use freecycle; if you want to sell it, use any of the others. Hope this helps!

A. - I would recommend posting it on Craig's List in the area. I put my double jogger out there (back in April) and within 15 minutes I had an email with someone who bought if for my asking price. The service is free - I would take a digital phot and put a thorough description on it and your price and wait to see. The posting is good for 45 days and it forwards the emails to your personal email so you email is not out there for everyone - then you can arrange for a transfer of the item between you and whoever asks to buy it. I have sold collectibles, the big kid's stuff and it seems to work. I also have tried garage sales but then you get the "cheapos" and the mom-2-mom sales are good for somethings but not others and they are alot of work to lug your stuff to the location and set up and lug leftovers home. This worked and didn't cost me anything - super easy to use and they don't take a cut of the asking price.
Good luck
