i really like the lionheart booster seat-- it helps my petite daughter reach the dinner table and sit in a actual chair. however, i cannot get the rough surface part clean whenever i wipe it down, there seems to be a residue, and whatever i use seems to get "caught" on the rough surface.

this is the exact item: http://www.amazon.com/Prince-Lionheart-Soft-Booster-Charc...

how do you get these boosters clean?

What can I do next?

Could you throw it in the dishwasher?

Carwash. Just pick it up, take it there, spray it down very well, rinse it well, leave it where it can drain or dry overnight, use it the next day.

This works very well for car seats too. You can just leave it all together and scrub the heck out of the fabric. Just make sure you turn the carseat/carrier upside down to dry so the fluid in the hiney area will drain out.

I have put my booster in the dishwasher. It sanitizes and gets it pretty clean! I of course have a different style, but it might work well for yours.
