we don't need to know all that. Profanity has no place on this blog or website. Profanity is used by ignorant people with poor vocabularies and social skills. Not cool.
To single someone out on a posting is also very ignorant and lacking social skills, if you don't agree with what Cindy H says then move on. The greatest part of this website is the varying opinions and life experiences that we get from these very diverse women. There is no reason to try to control what some women want to say as long as it is not degrading or demeaning. We are all adults here, so lets please act like adults and not pretend that these words aren't used frequently in the real world, whether they are appropriate or not.

I know sometimes I spend more time trying to figure out the acronyms than actually reading or answering the message....it's like reading realty info about houses.
sahm is stay at home mom I do believe. And mil is mother-in-law.
Its not a silly question. It means Single At Home Mom.

I would like to say I appreciated the list someone posted of all the abbreviations. It helps to know what your kids are texting when you see the abbreviations. so thanks for the list.

Some others:

NOT a silly question......I too find the current "short" form words confusing. I remember when one of our friends sent my husband LOL....my husband thought it meant Lots of Love, not Laugh out Loud....he was very upset by the idea his friend was sending him a "Love" note.....
I see you have gotten many responses with the answer you seek....so I thought some words of encouragement were needed more. Good Luck! or should I say GL2U
